My version of Nicolas Poussin’s 'LANDSCAPE WITH THE ASHES OF PHOCION COLLECTED BY HIS WIDOW'

The Original was painted in 1648.
Phocion, an Athenian general, was condemned to death and forced to drink hemlock. He was cremated outside the city walls. His wife is shown gathering his ashes for an honourable burial made possible by a change in the political climate.
