Flower. This idea came from the original flower design of the materiel. Small pieces of sheer fabric were placed down and covered with net then machine contour quilted.	Moth eaten. This design came from an old jumper I found with moth holes in it. Using hand made fabric with small snippets of sheer fabric machined together on water soluble plastic. All cording is hand made tha whole thing embellished with beads.	Shells
Crossings. Inspiration for this piece came from railway lines at a mainline station. Strips of painted and hand made paper stiched together with metal strips machine stiched onto velvet and hand made tyvec beads were added.		Flowers

Pauline Emmens

Pauline is in her mid 50's and moved to Olvera in 2009 together with her husband Jim, having spent the past 22 years in Oswestry in Shropshire. Originally, Pauline came from Wigan in Lancashire.
She has been sewing since 2001 and is now a textile artist. She has studied contemprary and traditional techniques for the last three years and gained her City and Guilds in design and embroidery. She has also attended various workshops using mixed media and new techniques.
She is also a member of the Embroiderers Guild.
Pauline is looking foreward to new and exciting ways to expand the materiels and context of her work in this new environment.
